Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, México. (January, 2022, Part I).
This is going to be difficult. Repeat after me: “We are not on vacation.” The budget does not allow for vacation style spending, but restaurants and bars are everywhere. At least the cheap tourist stores are easy to bypass. Puerto Vallarta has perfect weather this time of year, mid-80s and sunny. Our AirBnb is in…
Death Valley National Park, California. (December, 2021, Part II).
If you missed our prior posts on Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire State Park, and Las Vegas or day one in Death Valley National Park, be sure to catch up first. Day Two. Fifty degrees, windy, and mostly cloudy. I made an early morning trip to Devil’s Golf Course for sunrise. One other photographer…
Death Valley National Park, California. (December, 2021, Part I).
Death Valley National Park is one of the most strikingly beautiful places I’ve visited. We spent two and a half days in the park, which is enough time to see the highlights. A full week would have been better to explore and hike longer. We may have to return one day. Day One. Sixty degrees…

Rather than walk through casinos for hours, we headed to two nearby popular parks. After an early morning drive through Red Rock Canyon…
Spain, 2021. Final Thoughts.
Stephanie and I survived and did not kill each other. Therefore, our trip to Spain was a total success. We are often asked which city is our favorite. Of the two larger cities, Stephanie’s favorite is Valencia, with its beaches, mild-weather, and Turia Gardens. I prefer the city center, Moorish architecture, and river of Seville….
València, Spain (October, 2021, Part IV).
So it’s Wednesday. Stephanie and I have plans later this afternoon to meet a couple from Texas for coffee at the Mercat de Colón. We are heading out at 1:30 PM to do some sightseeing along the way. This morning we are just relaxing. Looking at the weather forecast, Thursday will be beautiful. We quickly…
València, Spain (October, 2021, Part III).
We bit the bullet and rode a bus. Seville, Cordoba, and Granada are small enough, and the main sites compact enough within the city center, to get by only with walking. Not Valencia. After mastering the tram to get to the beach, we did the same with the bus system to travel to la Ciudad…
